My Husband Led His Mistress to My $4.8 Million Lake Villa to Humi.li.ate Me and Make Me Sign It Over—But Her Husband and the Owner Were Already Waiting Inside!

“No.”

Something shifted in his face.

Small.

But unmistakable.

Fear.

I placed the paper back down.

“The villa belongs to Rowan Architectural Holdings.”

Sabrina frowned.

“I’ve never heard of that company.”

“I know.”

Grant stared at me.

Rowan Architectural Holdings had been established nine years earlier.

Rowan was my mother’s maiden name.

Grant had signed a marital property acknowledgment when I created it.

Apparently, he had forgotten.

Or believed I had.

“This house,” I said, “was purchased with funds from a trust created before our marriage and renovated entirely through Rowan.”

Grant lowered his voice.

“That’s not possible.”

“It’s recorded with Mecklenburg County.”

“You’re lying.”

“Then this should be easy to verify.”

Sabrina straightened.

“Grant?”

He ignored her.

“You’re trying to bluff me.”

“No.”

I moved closer to the table.

“You’re standing inside a property you falsely represented as yours, carrying documents intended to pressure the legal owner into surrendering rights you never possessed.”

His face reddened.

“Watch yourself.”

“And you brought another man’s wife to witness it.”

Sabrina froze.

Her confidence cracked for the first time.

“What does David have to do with this?”

I turned toward the closed study door.

“Quite a lot.”

Grant followed my gaze.

His breathing changed.

Sabrina went pale.

I kept my voice level.

“Sabrina,” I said, “before you start choosing curtains for my bedroom, you may want to ask why your husband has been sitting in my study for the last forty-five minutes.”

The lock clicked.

Sabrina whispered, “No.”

The study door opened.

David Cole stepped into the living room carrying a thick black binder.

Sabrina stumbled backward.
