My Husband Led His Mistress to My $4.8 Million Lake Villa to Humi.li.ate Me and Make Me Sign It Over—But Her Husband and the Owner Were Already Waiting Inside!

Grant held him.

“Claire,” Evan said, “he said I need to disappear until this blows over.”

Grant pulled him closer.

“He is lying.”

“Then let him go.”

Grant laughed.

“You think this is one of your conference rooms?”

“No.”

I raised my phone.

“It’s better.”

The red recording light was visible.

Grant’s expression changed.

He released Evan.

Then stepped toward me.

“You want to destroy me so badly?”

“No.”

“Stop pretending!”

His voice echoed over the marina.

“I built your name! I made people respect you!”

I stared at him.

“You still don’t understand.”

“Understand what?”

“You never made me important.”

I glanced toward Evan.

“I was important before you noticed.”

Police sirens sounded in the distance.

Grant turned.

Evan ran toward my security team.

“You called the police?”

“Nolan did.”

Grant stared at me as though I had become someone else.

Maybe I had.

Or maybe he was finally seeing the woman he had ignored for fourteen years.

Police questioned everyone.

Evan agreed to cooperate.

By sunrise, Grant’s behavior at the marina had become part of a formal witness-tampering investigation.

Trying to save himself had given investigators the witness they still needed.

PART 4 — SABRINA CHOSE HERSELF
Three days later, Sabrina requested a meeting.

Not with David.

With me.

We met at Nolan’s office.

She arrived twenty minutes late wearing oversized sunglasses and carrying an expensive handbag.

But no amount of glamour could hide the panic.

“I want immunity,” she said.

Nolan almost smiled.

“You are speaking to private counsel, Ms. Cole. We do not grant immunity.”

“I can help.”

“With what?”

“Grant.”

I watched her.

“What about him?”
