My Husband Led His Mistress to My $4.8 Million Lake Villa to Humi.li.ate Me and Make Me Sign It Over—But Her Husband and the Owner Were Already Waiting Inside!

Four shell vendors.

Three unauthorized approvals.

One forged signature.

“Between March of last year and January of this year,” I said, “approximately $6.2 million moved through entities without verifiable services attached to their invoices.”

Grant interrupted.

“That is misleading.”

I changed slides.

Server logs.

“Three payments were approved through a digital certificate assigned to me.”

I displayed the certificate record.

“I did not approve them.”

The chairman leaned forward.

Grant said, “Your assistant may have—”

“My certificate was accessed from Grant’s executive floor.”

Silence.

Then I displayed the forged power of attorney.

One director removed his glasses.

Another whispered to the person beside him.

Grant’s voice sharpened.

“This is exactly what I mean. Claire has spent years controlling our technical systems.”

I looked directly at him.

“Then you support a forensic audit.”

He stopped.

Everyone noticed.

I continued.

“If I fabricated this, an independent audit will expose me. If you did it, the same audit will expose you.”

Grant’s lawyer whispered something in his ear.

He ignored him.

“You’re trying to suspend me.”

“Yes.”

A murmur crossed the room.

“I formally move,” I said, “to suspend Grant Whitmore’s financial authorization until completion of the audit.”

Grant stared around the table.

“I founded this company.”

One of the older directors cleared his throat.

“You co-founded it.”

Grant looked betrayed.

The vote lasted ninety seconds.

Seven supported suspension.

Two opposed.

Three abstained.

Grant’s authority disappeared before he had fully processed the result.

Outside the conference room, he caught my arm.

Not hard.

But enough.

“You planned this for months.”
