In one of the more unusual intersections between Donny’s family life and professional career, his grandson Daxton became part of the technology used in Donny’s Las Vegas production.
The show includes a sequence in which present-day Donny performs alongside a digitally reconstructed version of his 14-year-old self.
The visual recreation uses old photographs and technology to recreate teenage Donny.
But the physical movements are performed by Daxton, his real-life grandson.
The result brings together three generations of the Osmond story in a single stage sequence.
For an entertainer who first became famous as a child, there is something fitting about seeing his grandson help recreate that younger version of him.
But home and family have influenced Donny’s business interests too.
