A scene straight out of a movie began to draw attention: a completely cracked road, enormous blocks of asphalt lifted up, and a deep fracture running across the road in the middle of a mountainous area. The images show stopped vehicles, people observing the damage, and emergency teams carefully inspecting the site.

On August 15, 2026 , a magnitude 3.9 earthquake was recorded in the Linguaglossa area of ​​the Italian province of Catania, in a territory closely linked to the volcanic activity of Mount Etna. The tremor caused a visible crack in a road leading to Piano Provenzana, in the Ragabo-Clan dei Ragazzi area.
And it was precisely that crack that turned a seemingly normal road into a scene that surprised those who were in the area.
