Her Career Took Her to Capitol Hill
Before entering intelligence and environmental-crime research, Maggie worked in government.
Her professional biography states that she served as a legislative aide for U.S. Senator Peter Welch of Vermont.
Her responsibilities included foreign affairs and national-security policy, as well as defense and veterans issues.
She later joined Earth League International, an organization focused on environmental crime and related transnational criminal activity.
There, Maggie worked on intelligence research and policy.
Earth League International described her work as involving the synthesis of intelligence for government officials, partners and the public, while also engaging policymakers around environmental and national-security issues.
By 2026, another professional change had reportedly arrived.
Current reporting on her engagement identifies Maggie as an intelligence analyst for Major League Baseball.
It is an unusual résumé for the daughter of two country superstars.
But her independent streak appeared much earlier.
She Was Already Giving Back While at Stanford
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Maggie became heavily involved with Feed the Front Line in Nashville.
The organization worked to support restaurants while providing meals to frontline workers and others who needed assistance.
Maggie served as vice president of the Nashville chapter.
She helped with fundraising, sponsorships and the organization’s benefit efforts.
The project eventually included the virtual Feed the Front Line Live concert, which featured numerous major performers.
