Church leaders can encourage members to support one another and provide opportunities for prayer and remembrance.
People who are struggling particularly deeply should be encouraged to seek appropriate emotional and pastoral support.
The goal should not be to pretend everything is normal.
The goal is to help the community move through an abnormal and painful experience together.
