My new neighbor covered my car with tape after I asked him to stop parking in my spot.

The next morning, when Thomas saw his car, he was completely stunned. I saw how long he looked at the front of his car, not understanding what was going on. I left a message on his car, suggesting that we exchange phone numbers to avoid future misunderstandings. I wrote that if there were ever any parking issues or problems, we could just talk about them and resolve them peacefully. Thomas, despite the absurdity of the situation, agreed.

He apologized for his actions and, for my part, I said that maybe I could have been more patient in our discussions. We both understood that the root of the problem was not anger, but a misunderstanding and a lack of mutual understanding.

Since then, our relations have improved. We no longer fight over parking spaces and in the future we have always solved our problems peacefully and respectfully. Of course, we didn’t become best friends, but now I can say with conviction that we learned to understand and respect our boundaries.
