Jack Was Born During an Extremely Public Period
John “Jack” Edward Thomas Moynahan was born on August 22, 2007.
His parents were no longer together when he was born.
Bridget and Brady had ended their relationship in 2006.
Brady later married model Gisele Bündchen in 2009.
Brady and Bündchen went on to have two children together, Benjamin and Vivian, before announcing their divorce in 2022.
From the beginning, however, Bridget and Brady remained connected through Jack.
The circumstances attracted enormous media attention.
For Bridget, that attention was not always welcome.

Years after Jack’s birth, Moynahan reflected on the intense public scrutiny surrounding her pregnancy and early motherhood.
She described photographers following her.
She recalled feeling that people were watching her at a time when she wanted privacy.
Becoming a new mother already represented a major emotional transition.
Having that experience documented by photographers made it considerably harder.
Moynahan has said that her instinct was to protect her child.
That period influenced how she approached privacy afterward.
